FAQ

Who is this for?

This training is designed for therapists, yoga teachers, health and wellness practitioners, spiritual directors and companions, coaches, grief and addiction counselors, birth and death doulas, nature-based guides, educators, and others who support people through life transitions and thresholds. It is ideal for practitioners who want to deepen their work and offer meaningful, lasting transformational experiences.

Do I need to be a grief counselor to participate?

No. This training is open to any practitioner who wants to integrate a framework that honors grief as a natural and essential part of transformation.
You do not need prior experience in grief work—only a willingness to compassionately hold space for difficult emotions and support authentic expression. These trauma and resilience-informed skills can be learned and developed through practice.

Will this training prepare me to lead grief-focused experiences?

Yes. If you feel called to facilitate grief-centered rituals, sessions, or healing experiences, this training will provide a grounded framework and practical tools to do so with care, depth, and integrity.

Do I need a background in somatic or embodied practices ?

No. This framework can be adapted to a wide range of modalities.
While we will explore the value of including the body in transformational work, participation does not require prior experience with somatic practices. You will be encouraged to integrate embodied elements in ways that feel authentic and accessible to you and your clients.

Will I receive a certification?

No. This training does not offer a formal certification, as there is no universal governing body for this field of practice.
However, you will leave with a robust, integrative framework to deepen your work, create a grounded container, and support lasting client transformation. The program also emphasizes ethical application and professional integrity. Opportunities for ongoing support, guidance, and coaching are available.

Do I need to commit to the full six-month training?

No. The initial week-long intensive can be taken as a standalone experience to learn the framework and begin integrating it into your work.
The six-month immersion offers a deeper level of integration, increased confidence, skills, and the opportunity to design and refine a client experience with group feedback, along with continued guidance and coaching.

Are lodging and meals provided for the initial weeklong, in person intensive?

This is a non-residential retreat style intensive. Lodging is not included in the price. Local lodging recommendations will be provided upon registration and group rates at local hotels may be available. Please inquire for more information about lodging options.
Lunch and snacks will be provided during the weeklong intensive. Breakfast and dinner are participant responsibility. One group dinner out will be optional. Suggestions for local grocery, coffee shop and restaurant options will be provided.

Can I join the Advanced Program Immersion after participating in the initial weeklong intensive?

If space allows, there will be an opportunity to join the six month advanced program after the initial intensive. The full rate for the advanced immersion program will apply. There is a $1000 discount when paid for with the initial weeklong intensive payment before the early-bird deadline.

Are payment plans available to pay for the training?

Yes, payment plans are available and can be discussed with registration.

Are scholarships available for the training?

A few partial scholarships will be available for the training to make it more accessible. Please inquire if this is something that would support your commitment to participating in the training.
